MAF Porting

Here is the MAF before the porting begins

And after. There was a very noticeable mid and upper end pull but the downside is that just off idle there is a hesitation.  Plus the short and long term fuel values are screwed up. The problem is that the airfoil dividers direct air to the sensors and when the divider is removed there is less air going past the sensor thus causing the  computer to see less air even though there is more air. I was seeing 58lbs air before the mod and 34lbs after. I can get away with this because I have the superfueler so I can add more fuel manually, without this I  would run extremely lean and destroy the motor.

I am going to try the Modern Muscle Car MAF translator and see if I can get the calibration more accurate. I will post the results when I get it.

Update: I never did get the MAF translator, I went with the GMS MAF that had the correct calibrations then I had custom programming from  Ed Wright - Works really well.

My opinion: dont mess with the MAF or even replace it with third party ones, the stock works just fine!

I'd Rather Be BLOWN Then Juiced!
